Martin joined Coates in 2007 as a right of way agent and has since advanced through several leadership roles, including lead right of way agent and project manager. Over the years, he has managed pipeline and electric transmission projects across the country, bringing extensive experience in right of way acquisition and construction-related damage settlements.

In 2025, Martin was promoted to Vice President of Coates’ Southeastern Division and is based in Raleigh, North Carolina. Prior to joining Coates, he worked in the financial services industry as an investment consultant. He holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a member of the International Right of Way Association.
